There are actually several duas recited for travel in Islam, depending on the specific point in your journey. Here are two common ones:

Dua Leaving Home:

Arabic: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلا حولَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Transliteration: Bismillah, tawakkaltu alallahi wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
Translation: "In the name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except in Allah."

This dua is recited upon leaving your home for your travels. It signifies placing your trust in God for a safe journey.

Dua Upon Reaching Destination:

Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَظَلَّلْنَا وَ رَبَّ الأَرْضِينَ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَقْلَلْنَا وَ رَبَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ وَمَا أَغْوَيْنَا وَ رَبَّ الرِّيحِ وَمَا ذَرَأْنَا أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقْتَ
Transliteration: Allahumma Rabbassa-mawati sab’i wa ma a’zallna, wa Rabbal-ardhini sab’i wa ma aqlalna, wa Rabbash-shayatini wa ma aghawina, wa Rabbar-rihi wa ma dharana, a’udhu bika min sharri ma khalaqta
Translation: "O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and whatever they encompass, Lord of the seven earths and whatever they contain, Lord of the devils and whomever they mislead, and Lord of the wind and what You have scattered therein, I seek refuge in You from the evil of all that You have created."

This dua is recited upon reaching your destination, seeking Allah's protection from any harm that might come your way.
