Here are some important Duas for various aspects of daily life:
Morning Dua:
- Arabic: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ (Al-hamdu lillahi alladhi ahyana baعد ma amatana wa ilayhi nushuru)
- Translation: All praise is due to Allah, who has brought us back to life after He caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.
Night Dua:
- Arabic: بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَضَعُ جَنْبِي وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ ، إِنْ أَمِتَّنِي فَتَوَفَّنِي مُؤْمِنًا ، وَإِنْ أَوْقَظْتَنِي فَأَوْقِظْنِي عَلَى يَسْرٍ (Bismika Allahumma adhuu janbi wa bika arfahu, in amittani fatawaffani mu'minan, wa in awqaztani fa awqizni ala yusr)
- Translation: In Your name, O Allah, I lie down on my side and in Your name I raise it. If You cause me to die, then cause me to die as a believer, and if You wake me, then wake me to ease.
Before Eating:
- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ (Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim)
- Translation: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
After Eating:
- Arabic: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَأَسْقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ (Al-hamdu lillahi alladhi at'amana wa aslaana wa ja'alana muslimeen)
- Translation: All praise is due to Allah, Who has fed us and given us drink, and made us Muslims.
Entering the Bathroom:
- Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخَبِيثِ الْمُخْبِيثِ (Allahumma a'oothu bika min al-khabeethi al-mukhbit)
- Translation: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil and repulsive one (referring to devils).
Leaving the Bathroom:
- Arabic: غُفْرَانَكَ (Ghufranka)
- Translation: Your forgiveness.
Before Leaving Home:
- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ (Bismillah, tawakkaltu alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah)
- Translation: In the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, there is no might and no power except by Allah.
Before Sleeping:
- (Same as Night Dua): بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَضَعُ جَنْبِي وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ ، إِنْ أَمِتَّنِي فَتَوَفَّنِي مُؤْمِنًا ، وَإِنْ أَوْقَظْتَنِي فَأَوْقِظْنِي عَلَى يَسْرٍ
