Here are a couple of duas you can recite to ask Allah for halal rizq:
- Dua 1:
This dua is narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and is a good supplication to ask for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and righteous deeds:
Arabic اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلاً
Translation “O Allah, indeed I ask You for beneficial knowledge, and good (lawful) provision, and deeds which are accepted.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
- Dua 2:
This dua specifically asks for halal rizq and to be content with Allah's provisions:
Arabic اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي مِنْ حَلَالِكَ وَوَسِّعْ عَلَيَّ فِي رِزْقِي وَأَقْنِعْنِي بِفضلِكَ عَنْ غَيْرِكَ
Translation “O Allah, grant me provision from Your lawful (sustenance) and expand for me in my provision and make me content with Your favor, from turning to anyone other than You.”
Here are some additional tips for making dua:
- Make dua with sincerity and conviction in your heart.
- Begin your dua with praising Allah (SWT) and thanking Him for His blessings.
- Raise your hands in supplication.
- Face the Qiblah whenever possible.
- Recite the dua in a clear and audible voice.
- Repeat the dua three times.
- End your dua with Ameen (So be it).
It is also important to remember that while dua is an important part of seeking provision, it should be accompanied by effort and hard work.
