Allahuma (أللَّهُمَّ) is the most common way to begin a supplication (dua) in Arabic. It translates to "O Allah" and serves as a direct call to God. Many beautiful and powerful duas throughout Islamic tradition incorporate Allahuma at the start.
Here are some examples of Allahuma Duas with their meanings:
- Allahuma inni a'udhu bika min ad-dharari (أعوذ بالله من الضر) - "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from harm." (This is a general dua for protection from anything harmful)
- Allahuma innee as-alluka al-jannah (أعوذ بالله من جنة) - "O Allah, I ask You for Paradise."
